Team Lead – Payment Posting

As a Payment Posting Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of payment posting associates. Your primary goal is to ensure the timely and accurate posting of payments to patient accounts while maintaining high-quality standards and productivity.

Compensation: Up to 6 Lakh per annum

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of payment posting associates.
  • Assign tasks and monitor team performance to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to team members.
  • Address team issues and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Continuously analyze and improve payment posting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce errors.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
  • Oversee the denial management process, including identifying trends and implementing strategies to reduce denials.
  • Work with insurance companies to resolve payment issues and appeal denied claims.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of patient accounts.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between patient statements and system records.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other industry standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Skills/Experience

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management, particularly payment posting.
  • Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare software systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
