Manager – Payment Posting

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Payment Posting Department. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely posting of patient payments, maintaining department operations, and driving continuous improvement.

Education: Any Graduate
Compensation: Up to 9 Lakh per annum

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of payment posting specialists, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement operational initiatives to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the payment posting process.
  • Oversee projects to streamline posting procedures and ensure optimal workflow.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of client payments, reconciling accounts with bank statements.
  • Foster communication and collaboration between departments involved in the revenue cycle, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team and department effectiveness, addressing issues promptly.
  • Lead the completion of end-of-month closing activities, including gathering reports and providing receivables totals.
  • Serve as a technical expert, maintaining a deep understanding of healthcare billing rules and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistent and efficient work processes.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss compliance with procedures and overall work unit effectiveness.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), preferably with a focus on payment posting.
  • Proven experience working with major healthcare billing platforms such as eCW, Tebra, and CMD.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with relevant healthcare RCM software.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare billing rules and regulations (a plus).
